What do you do with the rat after you catch it ‘humanely’, let it go in your neighbor’s yard? I just can’t wrap my mind around the idea that it’s morally wrong to kill a rat.

The caption may say “humanely,” but what they don’t show is the Python in the bottom, waiting for his dinner. It’s still “humanely,” right? Just law of the land!

Wait a second… Isn’t that a turkey deep frier pot? Aha! That’s it! It’s filled with oil and on a burner so when the rat falls in… Sizzzzzzzzle. Good eats!!!

PETA will be pissed when they see this. How does the person that set the trap know that the rat doesn’t have peanut allergies?
It could go into shock. Oh the humanity.

    Bottom line quite ingenious.

I’ve actually done this before with a pop can. The bucket is probably filled halfway with water. Because the rat can’t get out and can’t tread water forever, it drowns.

That looks like a mouse not a rat. And yes, you could drown the critter in the bucket, but I knew a guy that used to do this and he’d drive about five miles away from home and dump the mice out on the edge of a field.

My grandfather would float grain in a barrel of water and a ramp like this. Rats can only tread water for so long.

If he does not drown, finish him off with a pellet gun.
